Driven by the Health and Security team, 24 staff have joined up, and will be allowed time during work hours to make their donations.

Bunbury Regional Manager Lee Smith commended the team for supporting this initiatives.

"I was proud to be the first team member to donate back in February, and since then the team has made 19 donations," Mr Smith said.

"It's humbling to know that our small donations have already helped save 57 lives."

Mr Smith said this is the latest in a long line of community support initiatives driven by the Bunbury Port.

"We're proud supporters of the Bunbury community, and joining the Lifeblood Teams program is just another way our organisation can help support people in need."

Blood donations can be made into 22 different medical treatments to support people through serious medical conditions, and each donation can help save three lives.
