Southern Ports takes its role in advocating for its regions seriously and does this on a state, national and international level. Through our advocacy we have been able to raise the profile of regional Western Australian ports, their diversity and need for investment.

Seafarer welfare

More than 16,000 seafarers visit our ports each year and are often an invisible workforce. Southern Ports supports local seafarer welfare services as well as improving seafarer experience in our ports through a number of initiatives.
