Port of Albany

The Port of Albany is located on Menang Boodja, 400 kilometres south of Perth, within the Great Southern region of Western Australia.

As WA’s oldest port, it is historically significant to the region and state, it also has strong connections to national history due to its involvement in the First World War.

Today it underpins the region’s economy as an enabler to the agricultural and forestry industries, a local employer and community investor. The Port is also a premier cruise ship destination with significant heritage and tourism offerings, and has a strong environmental focus.

Adjacent to the city of Albany, in the Great Southern region the port encompasses a landholding of 84 hectares surrounded by the waters of Princess Royal Harbour and King George Sound.
