Public access to Turkey Point and Vittoria Bay is being upgraded!

Once complete next year, the direct access road will provide the community with safer and easier access to Turkey Point and Vittoria Bay to enjoy the amenity of the estuary and public open space.

Construction of the new Turkey Point access road and bridge commenced in March 2024 with site preparation for the road and bridge, and supporting drainage works.

After a winter break, the next phase of construction has commenced to build the bridge over the Preston River and construct a roundabout on Estuary Drive.

To construct a new roundabout, a portion of Estuary Drive will be closed for four weeks from Tuesday 29 October until Friday 29 November, with a short detour in place.

Local traffic will be able to access local businesses and Pelican Point residential estates and a pedestrian and cycle path will be accessible along Estuary Drive.
