In most cases at our Port of Bunbury, you will berth at the Outer Harbour alongside our Berth 1 or 2, where you’ll be able to disembark and board a shuttle or tour bus. Please note, there’s no pedestrian access out or back into the Port.

The City of Bunbury provides free shuttle buses to transport passengers from the port to the Bunbury Busport, the central public transport hub in Bunbury and connection point for local town bus services, as well as coach and train services connecting Bunbury and Perth.

On arrival into the Port of Bunbury you can take a free shuttle bus provided by the City of Bunbury to the Busport (Old Railway Station in CBD) where you can either get a taxi, use public transport or walk around the town.

The Outer Harbour where cruise vessels berth is a short drive away from the Bunbury town centre.

No. Due to the operational nature of the Port and its security arrangements there is no pedestrian access out of or into in the Port of Bunbury. The only way to leave the Port is via a shuttle or tour bus.

Once you leave the Port of Bunbury via the free shuttle bus, the best place to meet someone is the Busport (Old Railway Station in the CBD).

The Visitors Centre is location at the Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre.

No. There is no public access to the port to view or board cruise ships due to Federal Government security requirements. The security zone at the port restricts who can enter the area, and there is a local security company who assists Southern Ports meet those requirements.

The best location to view cruise vessel arrivals is from the end of Jetty Road.

There’s a variety of reasons that a cruise vessel may cancel its visit. For example, they could be behind on their schedule or the weather, swell and tide conditions may make it unsafe for them to arrive or depart.

If there are special circumstances which prevent passengers from being able to catch the shuttle bus, please contact Southern Ports on (08) 9892 9000 to discuss alternative arrangements at least 48 hours prior to the ship's arrival.
