New Maritime Directions Effective 2 July

In accordance with new Maritime Directions issued by the State Emergency Coordinator; Mariners, Vessel Operators, Port Facility Operators, Marine Pilots, Ships Agents, Stevedores, Surveyors and all shore-based personnel operating in Ports in WA are advised that new Directions have been issued that protect the health interests of our community through requirements to comply when conducting certain activities in and around WA waters and ports, particularly when it involves vessels from international or restricted locations (exposed vessel).

The suite of Directions includes:

  • Exposed On-Board Worker Directions - implements requirements for a compliant shift on an exposed vessel;
  • Maritime Crew Member Directions - controls crew movements on/off rigs
  • Transport and Accommodation Services (Exposed Maritime Worker) Directions - controls transportation and provides requirements for certain journeys; and the existing
  • Controlled Border for Western Australia Directions - controls entry into WA.
