WA Ports Recognised for Environmental Achievements
- Published: 20 January 2021
Southern Ports works with other WA ports and DPIRD to collaboratively implement the State-Wide Array Surveillance Program, which has enabled early and accurate detection of marine pests in WA port waters. In operation for over 10 years, it is the only collaborative marine pest surveillance network of its kind in the world.
We are proud to be part of the team recognised in the Best Practice in Collaboration Across Government Agencies category of the IPAA Awards. Our continued joint approach to reducing the risk of infestation by introduced marine pests serves to protect our port communities and the wider State.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this project, and to all the other agencies recognised for their hard work at the awards.
