Over the weekend of October 18 & 19, the team from Esperance manned a stand at the local Agricultural Show, against the theme of how we contribute to the local community.

A range of branded promotional items and giveaways were especially produced for the event including water bottles, hackey sacks, pens, raffle tickets and information about Southern Ports. In total, Southern Ports' staff gave away over 3000 items to people who visited the stand while taking the opportunity to explain our operations.

General Manager Scott Bates said the event was a great success for Southern Ports providing a targeted opportunity to connect directly with the community.

“We attracted quite a bit of traffic over the two days and the response from the public was very positive. My strong impression was that the local community are very interested in what we do and how Southern Ports can contribute to improving the Esperance and regional community.  I would like to acknowledge the great work of the Southern Ports' team who were central to the success of the event” said Scott.

It is the first time in a number of years that Southern Ports has had a presence at the Show, which received fantastic feedback from visitors and a broad range of questions including  our future port development plans.
