Southern Ports are currently undertaking maintenance and repair works to the historic Bunbury Lighthouse.

The lighthouse was built in 1970 incorporating a new tapered lower structure and three cylinders from a lighthouse previously located at Marlston Hill. The current day mark colouring of the lighthouse is unique, and legend has it the then-Harbour Master proposed the colours because he had a fondness for black and white Scotch Terriers, and Black and White Whisky!

Upgrade works on the lighthouse have included fixing rust spots and hand-painting the structure.
