Southern Ports has recently provided sponsorship funding for the installation of three Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in high profile locations including Castletown Quays, Jetty Site toilets and Whale Tail toilets.

The initiative is part of the St John Ambulance Community First Responder Program and will help to ensure access to potentially life-saving equipment in the event of a cardiac emergency.

General Manager Esperance Port, Scott Bates, said that initiative aligned with Southern Ports’ approach to health to safety.

“Southern Ports supports a broad range of programs to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees and the community who visit our port. This is a fantastic initiative that has the potential to profoundly impact the lives of residents and visitors alike,” said Scott.
